Balsamic-Honey Brussels Sprouts

It’s time. Time to post another delicious side dish. This has quickly become one of our favorite side dishes to have because it is tasty, healthy, and easy. What more could a busy mom ask for? I mention that I am a mom because my kids LOVE these brussels sprouts. LOVE them. Just one more reason to go to your local grocery store and make them tonight with your dinner.

Ingredients:
1 Lb of fresh Brussels Sprouts– (chop them in halves or thirds so they’re easier to chew)
1 clove of garlic– minced finely
2 slices of Bacon– chopped into 1/2 inch pieces
*some little slices of ham would also work as a substitute
2 tsp of Olive Oil
Balsamic Vinegar to drizzle to taste(roughly 1 Tbs)
Honey to drizzle to taste (roughly 2tsp)
Salt and Pepper to taste

1. Heat olive oil over medium heat in a sautéing pan. Add bacon and begin to brown. Once just about crispy, add the minced garlic. Just as that begins to heat thoroughly, add the chopped brussels sprouts.
2. Sauté the brussels sprouts until darker green and tender to a fork’s pricking.
3. Drizzle balsamic vinegar over the top (about 1 TBS)- enough to lighty cover all the sprouts.
4. Drizzle with honey to top about half of the sprouts. Gently mix the brussels sprouts in pan just to spread the flavors around.
5.Sprinkle with desired salt and pepper.
6.Remove from heat and add to your favorite protein dish. ENJOY!

*to be extra fancy, you can add a little shredded parmesan cheese on top. OH MY GOODNESS. YUMMY!
